Trust and safety
Personal and confidential contact
Brenger is a platform for transporting furniture and other mainly large items for consumers and businesses. Brenger makes the transport of goods personal and convenient. Unlike a mail carrier who may or may not ring a doorbell, a courier seeks personal contact. After a transport request has been made, the courier, the client and the other party (pick-up or delivery address) receive each other’s telephone number. This way, everyone can keep each other informed before and during the transport.
Insurance
In the unfortunate event that something does go wrong, we are happy to help. All items sent via Brenger are insured with our standard door-to-door package, against theft and damage, up to €500. This insurance does not cover damage that occurs when the driver is carrying or helping with lifting objects within the home or building (at either the pick-up or destination).
Also, any damage to glass, stone (or similar) or foodstuffs, or damage that occurs during transport of other items that are not within our guarantee (larger than 400x180x160cm, or heavier than 200kg, or any items that require special equipment to load or unload) are not insured.
In case of damage, we ask that you contact us immediately. Make sure you take photos of the damaged items, make a written description, and keep any proof of repair costs and/or purchase value. Send these to info@brenger.nl. Brenger will reimburse repair costs, as specified in a quote from a professional restorer, up to the original purchase value of the product.
Reliability
We do everything we can to increase trust between our users. We verify couriers by checking their KvK registration, proof of identity, phone number and IBAN. Moreover, we have an intake interview with each courier before he can transport via our platform. Furthermore, every user can increase the reliability of couriers by rating them after a transport. Because nothing is more valuable than a good review from another user!
Safe payment
You pay securely via IDEAL, credit card or a Belgian/German/Spanish/UK payment method. Once we know that the goods have been successfully delivered, or if the person at the delivery address does not respond within 24 hours (whether or not the goods have been delivered), we will pay the courier.
